The Norris Geyser Basin area is the hottest and most thermally active part of Yellowstone. (imagine a ski tour though here!) Guide and photographer Kt Miller toured through the area yesterday and had these excellent photos to share.
New snow report: cold rain to 8,000', and 12" of fresh at 10,000'.
Weather update: it's been warm and windy the last couple of days here in northern Yellowstone. (Ice forming in the volcanic gullies). With a good snowstorm brewing at the moment.
Some nice snowstorms moving though the Park today!
Mt. Washburn webcam this afternoon. Imagine seeing a grizzly in there!
Snow report: so far out of this storm we've picked up about 2 inches at 8,000', and 6" at 10,000'.
Winter Storm Warning for the mountains of northern Yellowstone. :)
